HYPNOTHERAPY MASSAGE - History
My experience in the performing arts, acting, dancing and singing, has been the reason for the development of this treatment. During my career I have often suffered from injuries associated with the demands of physical activity, I found massage to be the most effective of all treatments. It is because of my personal experiences that I decided to study massage and practice the various techniques of massage.
I found that encouraging my clients to concentrate on relaxing specific areas helped to release tension in those areas. Also after getting the client to answer a few specific questions, I noticed a release of tension in the body.
The minds state is reflected in the body.
It has been proven that muscles relax during hypnosis and increase antibodies so it made sense to combine the two treatments. I trained in hypnosis and have spent hundreds of hours developing specific semantics and combining it with the massage strokes.

I then spent months developing and working on the specific hypnotherapy script and combining it with the massage strokes. The focus was to get the client to completely relax body and mind. I continually improved the treatment until, finally, "Complete Relaxation" was born. As an actor, I have learned many scripts and now I have many relaxation and hypnotherapy scripts available in my head, that are flexible so that I tailor the treatment to exactly what you need.
The results were so inspiring that I wanted to add to in hypnosis. I trained in Clinical Hypnotherapy. It is for this reason that the benefits of Hypnotherapy could be added to the treatment. The client is an individual and no one knows you better than yourself. After a thorough consultation, the treatment can be designed to meet your individual and unique needs. I have since trained as a NLP practitioner and have a huge range of skills to help your personal development, allowing personal enhancement and removing behaviours that you do not wish to have.
During the treatment I speak continually for 2 hours whilst applying the massage strokes. It is physically and mentally tiring and, in order to never reduce the quality of the treatment, the number of treatments I do is limited so that the quality is of a supreme nature for each one.
HISTORY OF MASSAGE
Hypocrates, in the 5th Century BC, was the earliest physician to note that rubbing the limbs in a certain direction preferable to the opposite direction, thus giving birth to massage in its simplest form, as we know it today.
Later it was the Greeks; this time they identified the connection with the physical and spiritual (mental) being and the effects one had on the other. The orient and far east have, since records have been known, used massage practices with the performing arts. Massage was essential in maintaining the body and keeping the joints supple when pushing the body to its physical limits. They used direct and focussed pressures.
In Europe massage was developing simultaneously. It was the Roman Empire that spread massage across the modern world, using it as a luxury for the senior members of their society. The techniques in the western world were more concerned with soothing and calming. The development of massage in the west seemed to fade as the Empire dissolved.
In the twentieth century the great strides made by conventional medicine have tended to eclipse traditional therapies. Amazed by these advances, a lot of people ignored the therapeutic value of touch. The set-up of many establishments posing as Massage Clinics and abusing it as a therapy, sent negative values to the population and sowed doubts about its morality. This was until a few decades ago; now massage is enjoying a renaissance as we return to "natural therapies" and appreciate the immense benefits of massage. It is now firmly established as an effective therapy; yet despite its value the idea of massage can be met with some resistance. Modern life is becoming more and more stressful, and massage has a positive affect on stress, so why not treat yourself and enjoy a truly timeless therapy. Alternatively indulge yourself in a hypnotherapy-massage, (Complete Relaxation) a unique experience to calm the body and mind simultaneously.
